The character she is currently playing is Maria on Roswell. Hemmens was born in the forest of Maine along with her two elder siblings and an older sister. Hemmens was a student at Mount View High School near Thorndike, Maine, for two years prior to enrolling at Walnut Hill School for the Arts for the final two. She then went to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career upon graduating. She holds an unofficial Black Belt in Martial Arts as well as weapon training.
